OUT SOURCING:
Recently I was at a big box store looking for a rice cooker. While I pondering the various models in the kitchen section there was a couple in the same isle looking at the toaster ovens. I couldn’t help but overhear the wife ask her husband, (I assume they were husband and wife)
“Honey, isn’t anything made in the US anymore?”
The husband answered with a shrug of his shoulders.
Being the prick that I am, I could not resist the urge to “Splain something to Lucy”
I approached the woman and politely said that I heard her question to her husband, that I fully understood what she is talking about.
“It’s a shame that Americans have to buy foreign made products because there are no good alternatives here at home”
As I walked away from the pair, I suddenly turned around and walk back over to them (Ala Detective Palumbo) I approached them once again and asked,
“Excuse me, what type of car do and your husband drive?”
The woman looked at me with bewilderment, the husband immediately jumped in and said.
”I bought my wife her dream BMW last year and if you must know I drive a Lexus”
Every time someone complains that American companies are sending their manufacturing overseas we should ask these people “what kind of car do you drive?”
If the answer is anything other than; Chevy, Buick, Ford or Chrysler. Tell them immediately to shut the frick up!
If their goal is to tell the world..
“look at me I made it, I drive a car with numbers and letters instead of a name because I want the world to notice me.
Well, Here is some info for them. As you drive down the street, no one every looks at a BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Honda, Nissan, KIA, Hyundai or Mazda.
However, a CORVETTE always turns heads.
