My old boss was big on self education. “Read everything you can get your hands on and don’t rely on rumors or tall tales, research the facts for your selves” This he would tell all the news staff almost on a daily basis. Tonight I was watching a program on the history of US economy. The host went out and posed the following question; “who was the last president to shrunk the national debt to its lowest? A couple of people answered the same as most of you are thinking, President Clinton. NO! He didn’t!!!!!!. The correct answer is President Andrew Jackson. The other question posed, why did we lose jobs to Mexico and other countries? Several people answered correctly NAFTA. Ok, next question, who signed NASTA into law? Again a lot of people got it wrong, number one answer George Bush, second wrong answer, Ronald Reagan, correct answer, President Clinton. (If anyone doubts what I’m writing, look it up-self educate) I’m not attempting to bash President Clinton, however, please get the facts straight. President Clinton was not a great president; his claim to fame was that he was a good looking charismatic politician who liked his Cuban cigar smoked, - if you know what I mean - nothing more. President Bush (43) was not a great president either; however don’t blame 911 on him. The attacks occurred just several months after he took office. The planning and preparations for the terrorist attacks occurred under President Clinton. Personal thought Conversation at the White house oval office. White house staff member runs into the oval office. “Mr. President, Mr. President, we found Bin Laden, what should we do?” President Clinton. “Don’t bother me now. Get out of here, Monica!!!!!!!”

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH It seems that these days the definition of “good boy” or “good girl” has changed. In the old days when a parent said my child is a good boy or girl that meant their child; stayed home, did their homework, went to bed early, and were respectful of others. Today, when police arrest someone who has just committed a horrific crime, the parent of this person is quick to say “My child is a good person” Does good now mean; they have less than five felony convictions and less than 10 misdemeanor arrests? Look if the child doesn’t work, doesn’t go to school, spends their time on a street corner with gang members and drug dealers plotting their next crime..They are not good!!!!! They are scum bags and should be sent to prison FOREVER!!! My friends, We in this country need to stop hugging and kissing our criminals, we need to stop blaming society and guns and lack of jobs for all the crimes that are being committed against society. Stop telling us there is a lack of jobs and this is the reason they are criminals. Let’s be real, these animals are not going to give up making several hundred dollars a day selling drugs to go work at a fast food restaurant for minimum wage. These drains on humanity are not going to turn in their guns for a 10 dollar voucher to Wal-Mart. When these pieces of dog crap (my apologies to dog crap, at least it serves a purpose) come before Judges those judges need to identify those who have long criminal records or are career criminals and send they away for life with no possibility of parole NOW!. Enough is enough!

No question I hail from good stock. A story: I don’t know how true it is, but I hope it is…. My godfather, a man who was nicked named “El Cojonudo” (The ballsy one) Soon after Fidel and his thugs took over power, one day two military men showed up at my Godfather’s home. One of them came to the door and knocked, when my godfather answered the door he saw the one military man standing there with a machine gun in his hand and the other man sitting in a jeep. The man at the door told my Godfather they were there to take my Godfather’s bother into custody. My godfather, El Cojonudo, looked at the man in the jeep and said, “If you don’t leave I’m going to take the machine gun away from this guy, pull down his pants down and put it up his ass and pull the trigger, then I’m going to walk over to you and put the machine gun in your mouth and pull the trigger” Both men laughed at my Godfather, in the next 45 seconds my Godfather carried out his promise. He was later arrested and sent to prison. Fast forward to several years later. One night we were all gathered at a relative’s home to welcome the resent Mariel boat lift relatives to America. Out of a car came a frail, man helped onto a wheelchair and wheeled in the house. My brother took me aside and said, “That is not your Godfather, he died in prison” I didn’t understand, everyone was saying that was my Godfather. I later learned that while in prison my Godfather suffered two heart attacks and three strokes. He was never given any medical attention however somehow he survived. Proud of where I came from..

SOLUTION TO TERRORIST THREATS: 1- Order the immediate withdrawal of all US personnel from whatever county we know the terrorist are hiding in.. 2- Position one-hundred thousand US troops around that country. 3- Dress all US troops in radiation suits. 4- Just sit back and catch all the terrorist rats as they run away. They will be easy to spot; they will be the one’s running the hardest and fastest away.

As we approach father’s day, I’m reminded of all the things I didn’t learn from my father. I didn’t learn how to hate from him; I didn’t learn bigotry or prejudice. My father never taught me to disrespect others or to criticize anyone different from me. My father never taught me dishonesty or lying. I didn’t get any lessons on stealing or cheating from him. My father never took the time to teach me how to be a drunk or use drugs. My father never got around to teaching me laziness; he was too busy working I suppose. Here I am today, the product of all the things my father never taught me. It’s been over 12 years since he left this world. I miss you dad.

The devil in Connecticut

I have spent a great deal of time this past weekend reflecting on what has occurred. I am physically sick over this. I question my stance on the 2nd amendment. However, after examining the facts, the only conclusion I can come to is that we in this country must rethink out priorities. Not towards weapons but towards the treatment of the mentally ill and the criminals in our society.. In all of the recent tragedies one fact has emerged clear, these people were either dirt bag criminals or disturbed mentally ill people who needed help. Not one person in their circle of friends and family came forward and said, “They need help” The devil in Connecticut clearly had mental problems yet his own his own mother was the catalyst in the events that would unfold. She taught him how to use a gun and took him to a gun rage. He must have seen this as a means to an end to carry out his evil plans. All the laws in the world would not have changed that. Demented people hell-bent on chaos will always find the way. Lets us mourn for the innocents lost, lets reexamine what we need to do to prevent such a tragedy from occurring again. Never forgetting what makes this country the greatest in the world. The Constitution of the United States

Absentee voting I keep reading about voting complaints; long lines, no parking, reduced early voting days. These same people are asking the state of Florida to make voting easier. They have, it’s called absentee voting. I received my ballot in the mail long before the deadline. I sat in the comfort of my home and read through the many pages of the ballot several times. When I came across an amendment I didn’t fully understand I researched it on line before making my decision. When I was finished voting I put the ballot in the provided envelope, signed it and took it to a mail box. Voting in this very important election could not have been any easier. No long lines to stand in, no parking issues. In the future I suggest to all those who don’t want to wait in line to cast their vote simply contact your supervisor of elections office and request an absentee ballot. This is a service provided to all, the rich and poor alike.
