THE TRUTH...ALWAYS. I’m sick and tired of all of the spin bull out there about who pays more taxes. The political ads would have you believe that rich people only pay $20 or $30 dollars in taxes while the rest of pay hundreds if not thousands of dollars in taxes. So that the reality of the debate is truly understood, I will put in terms everyone can understand… Say we have a coffee fund at work. I make $100 dollars a week; so I contribute 7 dollars towards the coffee fund. (7%) You have been more successful, you make $1000 dollars a week so you contribute 50 dollars toward the fund. (5%) The no bull reality…. My $7 dollars won’t even buy one bag of coffee. Your $50 dollars buys a couple of bags of coffee, sugar, cups and stirrers and creamer. The result, we both can drink all the coffee we want. The real facts of the matter, you are carrying the weight for my dumb ass to drink all the coffee I want. But, yet I complain that you pay a less percentage towards the fund than I do. The bottom line, I should shut up, get off my butt and better myself therefore I will make more money. I can, if I really want to. This is a free market economy. We need to stop complaining about rich people, they somehow have been more successful than the rest of us in a country that allows ALL OF US! To prosper if we so chose to do so.
